Remember Electronic Service Agent (ESA) is the function that will call IBM if you have a hardware problem.

 

On a monthly basis, we recommend you call IBM to verify Electronic Service Agent is working (running and sending data to IBM).

 

Why monthly?  Because your networking folks could be changing your firewall … one month ESA may work and the next it might be blocked.

 

1 800 IBM SERV … take option for software support … all you need is your serial number.  Just tell them you need help setting up and testing Electronic Service Agent.

 

Call them each month to test.
